OUR MISSION

To address an unmet need among members of the African and Caribbean immigrant and refugee communities in the greater Philadelphia area who experience difficulties accessing health and human services due to cultural, geographic, linguistic, and other barriers.

Our Health Programs are built on a unique peer support model that uses shared language, cultural expertise, advocacy, lived experiences and system navigation knowledge to help individuals and families overcome social determinants and improve their health outcomes.

Our multi-lingual and bi-cultural case managers assist clients in mitigating the myriad of barriers they face in accessing critical health and social services which play a vital role in their successful integration, improved health, and ability to be self-sufficient.

We have two (2) main education programs: African Youth Empowerment and Adult Education. Both programs are centered around empowerment, literacy, and the ability to navigate through challenging environments.
